Billion-dollar crypto scam boss arrested and extradited to China
Chen Zhi, the alleged kingpin of an international scam syndicate and crypto-fraud network, has been arrested in Cambodia and deported to China for investigations. The arrest comes months after the US Treasury seized roughly $15 billion worth of BTC linked to Zhi.
Prosecutors allege Zhi directed the operation of forced-labor scam compounds that generated billions of dollars through crypto investment-and-romance fraud schemes commonly known as "pig-butchering" scams. Rumble launches crypto wallet
Tether backed vide platform Rumble (RUM) has launched a crypto wallet that will be embedded directly into the video streaming platform and allow audiences to tip creators using digital assets. The wallet, which will be powered by MoonPay, will support bitcoin, USDT, and Tether Gold (XAUT) at launch with Rumble aiming to remove reliance on ad networks, banks, and payment processors for creator monetization. Ripple again rules out IPO
