In a preview of an upcoming report, Bitwise Asset Management’s CIO writes: “Taking a conservative approach, we project bitcoin will be the best-performing major asset in the world over the next 10 years, with a compound annual growth rate of 28.3% and steadily declining (albeit still high) volatility.” Read more →

Wyoming’s State Sponsored Stablecoin

Wyoming is officially launching its state stablecoin, The Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), in an effort to attract digital asset businesses and offer instant transactions and reduced fees for consumers and businesses. FRNT will be backed by USD and Treasurys, won’t have a fixed supply, and plans to be yield-bearing. A good at home example would be buying up a bunch of FRNT, potentially getting yield for it eventually, and using those tokens to pay for your new Drivers License. Instead of your credit card, paying via FRNT would reduce transaction//processing fees and then the state would use whatever profits they get from it all to pay for things like education, roads, etc. Read more →

Bullish settles $1.15 billion IPO using stablecoins

In another first ever, Bullish (BLSH) says that the $1.15 billion it raised in last week’s IPO was fully settled in stablecoins. The company received the proceeds in primarily Circle’s USDC and EURC as well as Paxos’ USDG, PayPal’s PYUSD, Ripple’s RLUSD, Agora’s AUSD, and World Liberty Financia’s USD1. The stables are being custodied by exchange-rival Coinbase (COIN). Read more →
