AI math sparks a wallet-security debate
Ethereum researcher Justin Drake is urging the industry to prepare for “bunker mode,” arguing that AI-driven mathematical breakthroughs could threaten crypto’s security before quantum computers do. His warning follows OpenAI’s release of hundreds of AI-generated math papers. Drake favors a controlled move to fresh addresses with unexposed public keys, but Vitalik Buterin and Ledger’s CTO caution that rushed transfers could cause more immediate losses.
