

Galaxy gives institutions a DeFi front door
Galaxy (GLXY) has expanded its institutional lending business with GOFR, a new program that gives institutions access to financing rates from major DeFi markets without requiring them to use those protocols directly. Stripe makes offer to buy PayPal
Stripe and buyout Private Equity firm Advent International just made a joint takeover bid for PayPal (PYPL) at $60.50 per share, a 28% premium, in a deal that would value company at ~$53 billion. Crypto equities bucked the bear market
Bitwise just highlighted five charts that defined crypto through Q2 2026, and together they tell a much different story than the ongoing bear market in token prices. During the first six months of the year, crypto assets fell 36%, while Bitwise’s index of publicly traded crypto equities gained 23% – beating every major asset class except emerging-market equities.
