

U.S. government moves $1 Billion in seized BTC
A wallet linked to the U.S. government’s Bitfinex seizure sent 12,267 BTC, worth about $1.01 billion, to new, unlabeled addresses Thursday. Neither the Justice Department nor the U.S. Marshals Service had announced the transfer, leaving its purpose unclear. It is also unclear whether the coins are part of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, where a 2025 order generally bars sales but allows limited exceptions. Read more →
Has Blockchain Finally Reached Its Moment?
In a 79-page report titled Breaking the Wall, Citrini Research – which earlier this year went viral for crashing the AI market – argues that bringing stocks, bonds and other financial assets onto blockchains will create vast new business for crypto. But, that BTC, ETH, and other majors may not be the best way to play it. Citrini instead proposes two investment baskets (see picks here): (1) publicly traded stocks, (2) other crypto tokens.
Charting Crypto’s Rebound
Bitwise’s Q4 Crypto Market Review is out, documenting a sharp third-quarter recovery across prices, ETF flows and onchain activity. Its large-cap crypto index gained 46.4%, while spot bitcoin ETFs pulled in roughly $6 billion, turning year-to-date net flows positive. Beyond prices, the report tracks record highs in tokenized stocks and decentralized perpetual futures – where trading increasingly extends beyond crypto itself.
