Grayscale IPO

After filing confidentially in July, today the company officially filed with the SEC to have an IPO under the ticker GRAY. The crypto asset manager reported more than $35 billion in AUM and had net income of $203.3 million on revenue of $318.7 million for the nine months ended Sept. 30, compared with net income of $223.7 million on revenue of $397.9 million a year earlier. Grayscale’s parent company Digital Currency Group has had it’s ups and down, but 12 years later (yes they launched in 2013!), Grayscale is part of the cadre of crypto companies taking over the public markets. Last week we briefly highlighted how Digital Asset Treasury (DATs) companies have not been buying the dip (with some even selling). And now, there’s crystal clear data to back that claim. According to a report from BitcoinTreasuries•net, bitcoin treasuries companies are having a decline in their accumulation pace. In October, these public and private firms added 14,400 BTC, meaning fewer additions than any other month in 2025 year-to-date, marking a decline of over 60% from September. Read more →

Canary Capital’s XRPC will begin trading on Nasdaq at the open after the exchange certified the listing late Wednesday. Thanks to the SEC’s shutdown-era guidance (final S-1s without a delaying amendment + exchange listing standards and Form 8-A), products can go auto-effective after 20 days – paving the way here. Other issuers such as Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, ProShares, CoinShares, 21Shares, WisdomTree, Grayscale have updated filings and are poised to follow. So far, XRP is up ~3% today. Read more →
