Strategy Buys a Lot More Bitcoin After Stock Sale
MSTR purchased 1,550 BTC for $101 million this morning, bringing total holdings to 845,256 BTC. The buy came after bitcoin fell 15% last week, trading briefly below $60,000. Strategy funded the purchase and a $100 million cash reserve boost by issuing $181 million in common stock, acquiring the bitcoin at an average price of $65,332—below its overall average cost of $75,680 and after making a BTC sale last week. Securitize heads for the NYSE
Securitize is one step closer to becoming a public company. On Friday, the firm said the SEC has declared its registration statement effective, clearing the way for Cantor Equity Partners II shareholders to vote on its SPAC merger later this month. If approved, the combined company is expected to list on the NYSE under the ticker SECZ. Securitize is one of the bigger names in real-world asset tokenization, with more than $4 billion in tokenized assets and partners including BlackRock, Apollo, KKR, Hamilton Lane and VanEck. The company has also been working with the NYSE on tokenized equities and Computershare on issuer-sponsored tokenized shares. Read more →
