Arya Ag, India’s largest agricultural warehousing business, will use the Avalanche blockchain (AVAX) to tokenize grain deposits, warehouse receipts and loan status so lenders can verify the crops backing agricultural loans. The company holds about $2 billion in crops and facilitates roughly $1.3 billion in loans each year. Nasdaq announced today that its Ventures arm agreed to invest $100 million in Payward, the parent company of Kraken, as the firms bolster their work on tokenized equities and market infrastructure. As part of the deal, Payward will adopt Nasdaq’s market surveillance technology across its portfolio of trading venues. The partners are also targeting the second quarter of 2027 for Nasdaq Equity Tokens, extending their push to connect regulated markets with blockchain networks.
